Three generations later, we still agree with him.  Throughout our sixty years of existence, we’ve gone from a pure tire focus to automotive service excellence.  Tires are still our staple, and today Bob Lee’s Tire Company handles car repair needs as well.  With our large roster of devoted customers and ever-increasing technological advancements, Bob Lee, Sr. would still be proud to put his name on this business he started so many years ago. The following is a brief recounting of our history: 1946 – Bob Lee, Sr. opened his tire store on 4th Street in St. Petersburg, Florida.  The location prospered, and he quickly made a name for himself in the community.   1970 – Bob Lee III left Florida State with a diploma and new ideas.  He set out to obtain commercial accounts, and started a road service division in order to offer 24 hour, 7 day a week roadside service.  1984 – Bob Lee, Sr. passed away, leaving behind a legacy in St. Petersburg.  1990 – Bob Jr.’s stepson, Todd Murrian, introduced automation to the dealership, making daily tasks more efficient.  1998 – Our wholesale division opened.  Bob Jr. relocated the wholesale division and began a new concept for Bob Lee’s Tire Company – retail on 4th Street and wholesale on 25th Street.  2000 – Bob Lee IV began working full-time at Bob Lee’s, meaning that three generations have now owned and operated the business.
